A Heart for This Community
For 17 years, I had the privilege of serving as a licensed therapist in the Counseling Ministry of Southeast Christian Church (www.SE.Church), walking with individuals and couples through some of the hardest and most important seasons of their lives.
When the church’s counseling center closed, the need didn’t close with it. People are still carrying the same struggles — anxiety, depression, marriage conflict, infidelity, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and spiritual struggles — and longing for something better: more peace, stronger connections, healed relationships, and a clearer path forward. Many are still looking for counseling that honors their faith while also providing thoughtful, high-quality clinical care.
If you’re looking for the kind of care that was offered through Southeast Christian Church’s Counseling Ministry, I want you to know: I’m still here, and I’m still doing this work.
I now practice at Selah Counseling in Louisville, just minutes from the Blankenbaker Campus. I offer the same evidence-based, faith-integrated approach I brought to Southeast for nearly two decades — now with more than 30 years of clinical experience.
Whether you attend Southeast Christian, are part of the community, or are simply looking for a Christian counselor in Louisville who brings depth and experience and will honor your values and beliefs — I’d welcome the opportunity to meet with you.

Do I Need a Referral From Southeast Christian Church’s Care Ministry?
No. I remain on the counseling referral list maintained by Southeast Christian Church’s Care Ministry, but you do not need a referral from the church to schedule an appointment with me. You are welcome to contact me directly.
When Therapy Hasn’t Worked Before
If you’ve tried counseling before and it didn’t lead to lasting change, it may not be because therapy doesn’t work. It may be because the approach didn’t address the underlying patterns driving your thoughts, emotions, and reactions. My approach goes beyond surface-level support and insight by helping you understand and shift the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
Faith That’s Integrated, Not Imposed
Christian counseling should be more than simply adding prayer to a clinical session. I integrate evidence-based care with thoughtful respect for Christian faith, values, and spiritual life.
When faith integration is requested, your beliefs become a meaningful part of the counseling process rather than an afterthought. Faith is never forced or used in place of sound clinical care.
How I Can Help
