I am now offering a limited number of in-office appointments, following the Healthy at Work guidelines. I will continue to offer Telehealth appointments also. Telehealth appointments will be conducted via HIPPA-secure video/audio over the internet. I offer daytime, evening and some Saturday appointments. I will work with you to find a time that matches your availability. I also realize that the Covid-19 pandemic has led to loss of income for some. I do have some reduced fee spots available to those who qualify.
For over 20 years, I have provided individual, couples and marriage counseling services in Louisville, KY as a licensed psychotherapist. I've served in private practice for over 3 years and was proud to serve at Southeast Christian Church Counseling Ministry in Louisville, Kentucky for over 17 years.
I serve clients who are seeking faith-based counseling as well as those who are seeking traditional counseling, or a combination of the two. Faith-based counseling is holistic: treating mental, emotional, relational and spiritual needs. The client determines the extent to which spiritual beliefs, Biblical principles, scripture, prayer, and examination of one's heart is incorporated into the therapy.
For my clients who are seeking a more traditional approach to therapy, I honor and respect their values and beliefs also. Having been in the field of counseling psychology for over 20 years, I am well trained and experienced in utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapy modalities, including, but not limited to, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy and Gottman Method Couples therapy. I am a Gottman Referral Network Approved Provider.
By being here you've already taken the first courageous step towards seeking counseling for a challenge in your life. Seeing a professional can be a tough decision. You probably have a myriad of mixed feelings about asking for help. Most of my clients felt the same way, yet they found they were able to get the guidance they needed to transform challenges into victories in a relatively short amount of time. In the first few sessions, I will help you determine what you need, and together, we will create a plan for your therapy.
