Marriage, Couples and Individual Counseling
With over 30 years of clinical experience, I provide marriage counseling, couples therapy, and individual counseling for adults and couples who want to strengthen their relationships, grow personally, and create healthier patterns of connection. I also work with clients navigating challenges such as conflict, infidelity, anxiety, and major life transitions.
I offer in-person individual, couples, and marriage counseling in Louisville, Kentucky, and secure online therapy (telehealth) for residents of Kentucky, Florida, and Indiana.
I will also begin offering limited in-person sessions in Lakewood Ranch, Florida in early 2026.
My approach is integrative and evidence-based, combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method for couples, attachment-based therapy, and somatic and neuroscience-informed work. This allows therapy to address emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, and the ways stress and experience show up in both the body and the mind.
For clients who request it, counseling may also be faith-informed. Whether you are seeking to build a strong relationship, repair a strained one, or better understand yourself and your patterns, there is a clear and supportive path forward.

Faith-Informed & Christian Counseling
Some individuals and couples want counseling that is not only clinically strong, but also consistent with their Christian faith. When requested, I offer faith-informed counseling that respects each client’s beliefs while remaining grounded in evidence-based psychological care.
This approach is especially meaningful for clients whose faith informs how they understand relationships, healing, forgiveness, and personal growth. Counseling remains professional, thoughtful, and clinically rigorous, with faith integrated in a way that supports each client’s goals and values.

Why Clients Work With Me
Clients come to me because they want a thoughtful, professional approach to therapy that looks at the whole picture—how thoughts, emotions, relationships, and past experiences shape everyday life. Together, we focus on understanding patterns, improving communication, and creating practical, meaningful change.
I am trained in the Gottman Method, one of the most respected and well-researched approaches to couples therapy. Gottman-based therapy is highly effective for improving communication, reducing conflict, rebuilding trust after infidelity, and strengthening emotional connection.
Alongside Gottman work, I integrate CBT, attachment-based therapy, somatic techniques, and neuroscience-informed strategies so that both emotional and relational patterns can shift in lasting ways. Many clients also value that I offer counseling that can be faith-informed when desired.
Marriage Counseling & Infidelity Recovery
I have a special focus on helping couples strengthen their relationship and recover after betrayal, affairs, or emotional disconnection. Infidelity and relationship ruptures can be deeply painful, but with the right structure and support, couples can rebuild trust, deepen emotional intimacy, and create a healthier relationship.
My approach to marriage counseling and infidelity recovery combines Gottman Method couples therapy, attachment-based work, and evidence-based relationship counseling to help couples stabilize, understand what happened, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Individual Therapy for Anxiety & Life Transitions
In addition to couples work, I provide individual counseling for adults who want to better understand themselves, manage anxiety or stress, improve relationships, and navigate major life transitions. Therapy offers a space to gain insight, develop healthier emotional responses, and build skills that support both personal and relational growth.
Individual therapy may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based work, somatic techniques, and neuroscience-informed strategies to support meaningful and lasting change.
Christian & Faith-Informed Counseling
Some of my clients are Christians for whom faith is central—or who want it to become a more integrated part of their lives. I am highly trained and experienced in providing counseling that may be referred to as Christian, faith-based or faith-informed counseling, having served 17 years in the Counseling Ministry of Southeast Christian. The counseling I offer honors both clinical best practices and each client’s spiritual beliefs, supporting emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual well-being. My role is to meet each client where they are and support the approach that aligns best with their beliefs and goals.
