In-Person Therapy in Louisville, KY | Online Therapy in Kentucky, Florida & Indiana
Individual therapy offers a dedicated space to slow down, reflect, and gain clarity—whether you are navigating stress, change, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply.
I provide individual counseling for adults in Louisville, Kentucky, and offer secure online therapy (telehealth) for individuals in Kentucky, Florida, and Indiana. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s goals, values, and life context.
Many of the individuals I work with are high-functioning adults and women who are managing full lives yet sense that something could feel more grounded, more intentional, or more aligned. Therapy can be a place to explore that—without judgment or pressure. Therapy doesn’t require a crisis—many people come simply because they want more clarity, balance, or alignment in their lives.
When Individual Therapy Can Be Helpful
People seek individual therapy for many different reasons. Some are experiencing a specific concern, while others are in a season of transition or reflection. Therapy may be helpful if you are navigating:
Anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed
Depression or emotional heaviness
Life transitions or identity shifts
Relationship concerns or recurring patterns
Family-of-origin issues
Grief or loss
Self-esteem or confidence concerns
Spiritual questions or faith-related struggles
Women’s issues and life-stage transitions
Individual therapy is not only for moments of crisis. Many people come to counseling as a way to better understand themselves, strengthen emotional balance, and move through life with greater clarity and intention.
My Approach to Individual Therapy
My approach to individual therapy is integrative, relational, and evidence-based. I draw from several well-established therapeutic models to meet each client where they are and support meaningful, lasting change.
I regularly integrate:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift unhelpful thought and behavior patterns
Attachment-based therapy to explore relational patterns and emotional bonds
Somatic and neuroscience-informed approaches to understand how stress and emotion are experienced and regulated
Insight-oriented work to support self-awareness, perspective, and growth
Therapy is collaborative. My role is to offer structure, guidance, and perspective while creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood.
Individual Therapy for Women
A significant portion of my practice is devoted to working with women who are navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, identity changes, and questions about purpose or direction.
Many women seek therapy not because something is “wrong,” but because they want to feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally balanced. Individual therapy can help you better understand patterns, strengthen boundaries, and develop a more compassionate and connected relationship with yourself and others.
Christian & Faith-Informed Individual Therapy
For clients who desire it, I offer Christian and faith-informed counseling as part of individual therapy. This approach honors sound clinical practice while also respecting each client’s spiritual beliefs, allowing faith to be integrated thoughtfully and professionally.
Earlier in my career, I spent 17 years serving in the Counseling Ministry of Southeast Christian Church, working closely with individuals and families navigating emotional, relational, and spiritual concerns. That experience continues to shape the way I integrate psychological insight with deep respect for each client’s values, questions, and faith.
When faith-informed counseling is requested, therapy may include:
- Exploring spiritual values and beliefs
- Addressing faith-related questions or struggles
- Integrating prayer, Scripture, or spiritual reflection when desired
- Supporting spiritual growth alongside emotional and relational well-being
The inclusion of faith-based elements is always client-directed. My role is to meet you where you are and support the approach that aligns best with your beliefs and goals.
Is Individual Therapy Right for You?
Individual therapy can be helpful whether you are working through a specific concern or simply seeking greater self-understanding and growth. Many clients find that therapy helps them feel more grounded, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and approach life with greater clarity.
Seeking therapy is not a sign of weakness—it is often a sign of self-awareness and intention.
